Beyond the vault: Why AI agents force us to rethink Privileged Access Management (PAM)

VP of IAM Rohit Agnihotri argues that traditional "vault everything" privileged access management can't survive the explosion of machine and agentic AI identities—and unpacks the shift to zero standing privileges, why standing access is a top attack vector, and why every autonomous agent needs a kill switch.

About Identity Decoded

Defining what identity security should actually look like is harder than it sounds. Tune in as leaders from every discipline — IAM, security, research, IT — unpack the tensions, tradeoffs, and lessons learned from building identity security programs in the real world.

From the role identity plays in incident response to programmatically getting rid of AD tech debt or finally achieving least privilege, expect candid conversations about what's actually working, what's broken, and what's next.

Meet your hosts

Two perspectives. One conversation. Rob knows identity and Roy knows security. Together, they’re hosting a conversation that’s long overdue.

ROY AKERMAN - v2

Roy Akerman

Roy is co-founder and CEO of Rezonate, a cloud identity security company acquired by Silverfort. He brings 20 years of experience in cyber defense, including founding roles in national cybersecurity operations in Israel. After an MBA at MIT Sloan and a stint as VP of Product Incubation at Cybereason, he's now channeling two decades of hard-won experience into solving what he believes is the most overlooked problem in security: identity.

ROB AINSCOUGH- v2

Rob Ainscough

Rob has spent more than a decade building IAM programs in complex, unforgiving environments. As former head of IAM at Tesco, he knows what it takes to stand up identity infrastructure at global scale — from scratch, under pressure, with no shortage of opinions from the business. These days he's focused on helping companies close the gap between identity and security teams, and turn that partnership into the defense layer most don't know they're missing.
